Family History

Born the second son to Jacob and Alissa Keyes, both were Enlisted in the United States Air Force, his father a B-52 crew chief, his mother a Med Tech. Life growing up was what most would consider normal. At 18 John Keyes attended Annapolis Naval Academy, then went on to Medical School before he returned to the Navy working his way up the ranks.

Richard who wanted to follow in his parents footsteps and join the Air Force, decided to first go to school, and get his degree. In his Sophomore year he ran into an old friend from Elementary school, and their friendship quickly evolved into something more. Upon graduation they were married. Despite his degree, Richard opted to Enlist, and signed up for the Pararescue program. During his post BMT leave, his first daughter was conceived.

Richard departed for Superman school, and found himself traveling all over the country for training. Despite this he was able to spend time with his family. It was still difficult on them with a child on the way, however they were able to work through it. After training his family was moved to England and he was given his first deployment orders. Unbeknownst to them, this last night before departure was when his second daughter was conceived.
